Sol is currently the Choral Director at Farley and Haverstraw Elementary Schools of the North Rockland Central School District. Along with Justin Boccitto, he has served as the director of the spring musicals at North Rockland for the past ten years. Sol also serves as the organist at St. Paul’s RC Church in Congers, NY. Along with his work at North Rockland Central School District, Sol has always been a very active educator in Rockland’s youth theatre organizations; he served as musical director at Clarkstown Summer Theatre Festival for seven years, and has also music directed many shows for Helen Hayes Youth Theatre, Nyack Middle School, and Clarkstown South High School. As a performer, Sol has worked with prominent Cabaret acts at Don’t Tell Mama, Arci’s Place and The Laurie Beechman Theatre in New York and still performs regularly at Mohonk’s Summer Festival of the Arts. Sol was recognized in 2000 with a MAC Award nomination for his work as musical director and performer with the popular group High-5 Vocalworks. Justin is an international theatre educator currently on faculty at Broadway Dance Center, Cap 21, Circle in the Square, Marymount Manhattan College and guest faculty at The Juilliard School. He appeared as a coach on MTV's "Made" and directed the national tour of Dance/Speak: The Life of Agnes De Mille. He also choreographed the Off-Broadway production of One Night With Fanny Brice at St. Luke's Theater. Other credits include: The Metropolitan Opera, NYMF (Award winner for choreography 2015), Papermill Playhouse and the New York tap company Generation Tap, which performed in Tap City and appeared in Dancer Magazine. He works with Sol Bloch directing and choreographing the musicals at North Rockland and Fieldstone and has also worked for such youth theatres as: Helen Hayes, Random Farms, Westchester Broadway, WPPAC and CSTF. He is Executive Producer of The Group Theatre Too, which produced Michael Blevins’ musical Count To Ten at the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) and the annual Choreographer’s Canvas.
